About

*Backstage Profile*

I’d like to think that I can easily describe who I am, but how I do it depends on my audience. With a very diverse audience, who have varying perspectives and objectives in learning about me, I feel this medium is ineffective in presenting the full picture. With this in mind, I have chosen to simply touch on a few key pieces of myself that will hopefully leave you with the ability to make an accurate assessment of my character and personality.

I was born in Iowa and spent over a decade living in rural Iowa and living the farm life. I am thankful for the time that I spent on the farm, but I wouldn’t want to do it again – it’s just not what satisfies my soul. I am the type of person who loves the energy of the big city and, contrary to what logic might let you believe, I am at peace in that hustle and bustle. By the same token, living on a farm presents a person with daily work that has no regular work hours – you are on the clock 24 hours per day. This work ethic has been translated to my regular life and established the foundation to make all that I have done possible. Having experienced a full range of experiences in life has allowed me to understand, empathize and emulate many different life scenarios and makes me unique. Not many people can say they’ve led cattle around a show ring, been an exotic dancer, been elected President of their college student council, and worked for a Wall Street Investment bank. I have many stories to tell about my life, but let’s just say these life experiences have shaped me into the person that I am today.

Years ago I was charmed by the creative and artistic outlet that acting could provide. Interpreting characters and making them interesting to an audience is a huge and interesting challenge that I enjoy.  But, for the sake of responsibility, I took another path in life. I don’t regret taking that path because it has further grown who I am and put me in a position to more responsibly approach my passion for acting and entertaining. Some say that everything happens for a reason and I would believe that my journey could fit that belief if exposed to analysis. But, I would like to think that I have made some responsible decisions in life that have worked in my favor and I have been extremely lucky. Additionally, the huge piece of having family, friends and a wife who supports and believes in me has helped me be the person that I am today.

Ultimately, who am I?  I am a person who is trustworthy, strong, compassionate, humble, realistic and fair. My time in the Midwest established the foundation that has been mixed with my inner soul and has pushed me to achieve many of my goals. I work as part of a team and never want to be the weak member, so I strive to be the strongest. This approach can be best presented as the quote: “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” If you want to be associated with someone who will strive for perfection and encourage others to do the same, I should be someone for your consideration.
